Your skin is crying out for some TLC, so grab a bowl and get to mixing; one of these is going to make you glow!
Dull Skin
This recipe will make you glow, so try it today for a great pick me up. This facemask has turmeric for a brightening vitamin C boost, yoghurt adds lactic acid to smooth the skin and caffeine to reduce inflammation, with a side of antioxidants to add glow.
Recipe:
- 1 TBSP turmeric powder
- 1 TBSP ground coffee
- 1 TBSP Greek yogurt
Mix this together well, apply to your face (not the eyelid area) and leave on for 20 minutes. Remove with a warm wet towel – feel refreshed!
Dry Skin
This one is so good you could eat, but rather slather it on your face for maximum results and find another snack. This facemask has Avocado for wonderful hydration, cocoa for antioxidant soothing and honey for its antibacterial properties.
Recipe:
- 1/4 Avocado
- 1 TBSP Cocoa powder
- 1 TBSP Honey
Mash the avocado in a bowl, add the cocoa powder and honey and mix well. Apply to your clean face for 10 minutes and while you are giving the mask it’s time to make your face shine, spend some time playing the online pokies NZ sites have to offer. When the time is up, rinse with warm water and follow your usual moisturising routine for best results!
Acne Prone Skin
This DIY mask combines natural remedies to assist in clearing your skin and fighting future outbreaks. The Honey is antibacterial; the yeast treats acne like a dream due to its large amount of B Vitamins!
Recipe:
- Chamomile tea (1 cup with 2 tea bags)
- 1 TBSP Raw honey
- 1 tsp nutritional yeast
Brew a cup of chamomile tea with the two tea bags and let cool. In a small bowl mix the yeast and honey together, add the chamomile slowly to create a thicker paste to spread on your skin. Apply a layer to your skin, leave on for 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry and apply your moisturizer – done!
Oily Skin
Put your breakfast foods to better use and apply them to your face to control that excessive glow you may have developed. Egg yolks are great for tightening the pores that produce extra oil, and oatmeal will sooth your overactive skin.
Recipe:
- 1 egg yolk (whip up a healthy egg white omelette with the leftover)
- 1 TBSP Honey
- 1 TBSP Olive oil
- ½ cup Oatmeal
Mix together the 4 ingredients well, and apply evenly to your face, leaving on for 20 minutes. Remove as much oatmeal as possible (do not wash it down your drain) and rinse with warm water.
