9 Beauty Hacks That Will Change Your Life

While some of the beauty tips you’ve heard over the years are complete rubbish, we’ve consulted everyone from celebrities and their stylists to beauty experts to bring you the top 8 beauty hacks that will change your life.

1. Wake Up Your Body with Water

Believe it or not, your body loses a lot of water while sleeping just from breathing – consider breathing and out for 8 hours (or more!).

In order to combat early morning dehydration, we suggest getting up and immediately drinking a large bottle of water before getting your day started.

2. The Rejuvenating Power of Mayonnaise

While this may sound like an old wives tale, this tip comes from Blake Lively who learned this handy trick from her mother.

Before washing your hair, slather the bottom half of your hair in mayonnaise which will prevent the shampoo from stripping all the natural oils and drying it out.

3. Raw Honey for Cleaner Skin

Raw honey contains a bucket load of antibacterial properties and is an effective face mask for those with acne-prone skin.

All you need to do is spread the honey on your face, leave it for 10 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.

4. Baking Soda for Whiter Teeth

While you’ve likely tried plenty of expensive products for whiter teeth, what you didn’t know is that baking soda will do the job just as well – if not better!

Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide and use as toothpaste (before sports betting NZ) for a glistening smile.

5. Hair Conditioner as Shaving Cream

We are all about finding multiple uses for a single product and you need not buy expensive shaving creams if you have hair conditioner on hand.

The conditioner will moisturise your skin and soften the hair, making it easier to shave.

6. A Spot of Evening Primrose Oil

Evening primrose oil contains anti-inflammatory properties which will help troublesome spots heal a lot faster.

Simply pop a capsule and apply the oil directly to the problem before going to bed at night.

7. Vaseline for All Occasions

Something you should always have on hand is a pot of Vaseline as its one of the most versatile beauty products ever made.

Apply to dry lips, slather onto your feet and put on socks before going to sleep for soft heels, or apply to your hairline and ears ahead of dying your hair at home.

8. Lemon Peel for Stained Nails

If your nails are prone to nail polish stains, there is no need to keep painting them or suffering with yellow nails until they grow out.

Simply rub a piece of lemon peel on the stubborn spot or soak your fingertips in lemon juice.

9. Shave It for Last

If your skin is prone to irritation from shaving, wait until you’re just about done showering before shaving. By this point, the warm water would’ve softened your skin and hair and opened your pores for a less irritating shave.
